Alan Long Appointed Research Director For Hitwise

MELBOURNE - 25 July, 2008 - Hitwise, the leading online competitive intelligence service, today announced that Alan Long has joined the company as Research Director for Asia Pacific. Long is a well regarded advertising and digital media strategist, with a vast background covering more than 20 years of experience.

"Alan's marketing and advertising expertise together with his knowledge of the online industry is a great asset for our business" said Bill Tancer, general manager of global research at Hitwise.

Long joins Hitwise from MediaSmart, the online media division of Sensis, where he held the position of State Director for Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Prior to that he served as Director at Frontier Media Active and also managed the Olympics.com program internationally from late 1998 to 2000 when he was at BMCMedia.com.

Based in Melbourne, Long will head a team of analysts delving into online insights across 160+ industries covering more than 1 million websites daily from the Hitwise sample.
